In the south east of Spain, on the Mediterranean Coast, is the
region of Murcia, with its historical capital, the seventh largest
city in the country, having a population of around 442,000.
Founded in 825AD, the City of Murcia is still a very traditionally
Spanish place to visit, with many Baroque buildings there to be
admired, along with the magnificent Cathedral of Murcia, and, as it
is predominantly a services city, many university buildings of note.
The city`s is served by San Javier International Airport, with
Alicante International Airport being just over 72kms away.
20 minutes drive from this cosmopolitan and traditional Spanish
city, is the very popular villa rental resort of El Valle.
Originally built by Polaris, El Valle Golf Resort combines a superb
18 hole golf course, club house and communal pool, for the golf
enthusiasts naturally, with 3 to 4 bed traditionally Spanish styled
rental villa`s, all with private pools, for the sun seekers and sun
worshippers out there.
El Valle Golf Resort
The Polaris El Valle Golf Resort is conveniently located for easy
access via Spain's major airports and roads. Just 15 minutes from
Murcia city centre and 20 minutes from the beaches
of the Mar Menor. El Valle resort is 20 minutes from Murcia (San
Javier) airport, 60 minutes from Alicante airport and will be within
15 minutes of the new Corvera international airport opening in 2011.
El Valle offers the most convenient location of all the Polaris
World resorts for access to the historic city of Murcia.
Services
The impressive club house at El Valle opened in June 2008. There is
a restaurant, clubhouse bar, Irish pub and pro shop. There are
magnificent views from the terrace of the clubhouse as far as the
Mar Menor sea. In addition there are two tennis courts, a gym for
residents and a large supermarket. Sports facilities include a
tennis court and paddle court. There are several community swimming
pools for use by residents in the apartments on the resort. Every
villa comes with its own private pool.
Golf Course at El Valle
The beautiful golf course at El Valle has been created by Nicklaus Design. It is a professional 18 hole Par 71 golf course arguably one of the most challenging and picturesque at the Polaris World resorts. It is a favourite course for competitions and hosted the Spanish Pro Championship among other events.
