Highlands Reserve Resort Golf Course
The star attraction at the Highlands Reserve Resort
is the 72-par Championship Golf course, designed by
famed course architect Mike Dasher.
It is a real treat for golf fanatics and quite
unlike many of the usual Florida courses.
The course is host to a PGA qualifier and numerous
other tournaments throughout the year. But this
championship course is also open to the public so
make sure to book in your tee time.
The pine-lined fairways are regularly compared to
the famous Carolinas courses and
the wide open expanses to the best old
Scottish courses. Due to the high
elevation, this course is unlike any other in the
area and attracts golfers of all handicaps from
around the globe.
The course offers a different challenge according to
your experience. For beginners, the wide open
fairways provide a forgiving tee-to-green
experience. For the low handicapper, the huge
undulating greens will test your ability to hole out
in the regulation two putts.
In addition to the course, there is also a great pro
shop where lessons can be arranged. You can get
buckets of balls and passes for the driving range
and there is a practice chipping and putting green
area. Stop off at the Clubhouse after your 18 holes
for a snack and much-needed cold drink.
Nearby Berry Town Centre
Within walking distance of most villas within the
resort is Berry Town Centre where you will find
everything you could need. There is a Publix
supermarket with its own bakery, deli and pharmacy.
You'll also find a CVS, gas station, bank and even a
choice of traditional English or Irish
