The Loop
Right on your doorstep if you stay at the Sonoma, The Loop has pretty much everything you will want or need. Stores including Kohl's, American Eagle Outfitters, Yankee Candle and the shoe shop DSW are all onsite. This open area shopping centre is split into two easily navigable sections and, best of all, you can cover it all on foot.
The Crosslands
On the other side of the John Young Parkway from The Loop and Loop West. There are more than 30 shops and restaurants with a good mix of chains, franchises and independents. Academy Ltd, for example, has one of the biggest selections of sports and outdoor goods in the Kissimmee area at prices that rival most of the outlets further afield.
Shingle Creek Regional Park
Beautiful Floridan countryside right beside the resort! There's lots to see from the pioneer village to the county welcome station and museum. Hire a kayak for a couple of hours and paddle the creek looking at the amazing array of wildlife. Just make sure that you take plenty of water and sunscreen with you.
